After borrowing DM3 to get them through the busy autumn period Keswick MRT have returned the vehicle. DM3 is back on station ready for duty with EMRT.
Following an incident with one of Keswick MRT’s operational vehicles, Edale MRT have offered the loan of one of our fleet, which was not getting that much usage, for a couple of months whilst Keswick made plans to replace their damaged vehicle.
A Team spokesman from Keswick MRT commented: “A rescue team vehicle is not the sort of vehicle you can go out and hire, as you would with a courtesy car as supplied by an insurance company, as it has a lot of specialist equipment that is fitted. So we are hugely indebted to Edale MRT for their generous assistance – especially as they were also able to deliver it to us! It shows the depth of comradeship within the Mountain Rescue Community.”
Keswick team members were on hand as it arrived in Keswick, on Monday morning, to thank the Edale members who had brought it up. Keswick’s chairman, Gordon Barker is pictured here thanking Trevor Lawton, Edale’s Training Officer, for the team-to-team support.
