Challenge
The Nine Edges Challenge is an exhilarating 20-mile off-road adventure with approximately 900 metres of elevation gain, taking you across the stunning high moorlands and iconic gritstone edges from Fairholmes to the Robin Hood Inn near Birchen Edge.
Whether you choose to run, walk, or climb, this challenge offers an unforgettable journey through some of the Peak District’s most breathtaking landscapes.

What to expect on the route?
Your adventure begins at Fairholmes and takes you across some of the most dramatic landscapes in the Peak District, finishing at the Robin Hood Inn near Birchen Edge.
The Fell Running Association (FRA)
The fell race, for running participants could not happen without the support of the FRA. We anticipate many of our runners are members, but if you are not a member please consider joining.
FRA members provide many events each year and it is only possible with the support of participants who are also members, £16 well spent. Join the FRA here.
